Enhancement of policys and redesigning the current way of work has always been a process of high visibility when it comes to the successful execution of Coast Guard operations. The Airborne Use of Force (AUF) program is one of the Coast Guard's vital force multipliers in combating transnational organized crime and is in dire need of policy updates. Support from other services and many units within the Coast Guard is what makes the AUF mission a great success.

With the current lack of policy directing or assigning units/assets to support the required training needed to qualify and to maintain the qualification of TACLET South's Precision Marksmen (PM) is in jeopardy. Although some units are assigned to supporting the AUF mission, current changes with the U.S NAVY updating their helicopters, removed there night time mission and training capability.
