As a child, I was raised mainly by my grandparents. Their values and morals were imprinted on me since the time of my birth. On the other hand, my sister, who is eighteen months younger than I am, had lived away from me in the house of my parents. By the time I had moved back with my family, it was clear that despite having the same biological parents as my sister, we were completely different people. I am a more out going and fun–loving person where as my sister is more distant and reserved. She doesn't care for hugs or affection. Kayla, my sister, may have developed this distance because of the way our parents interacted with her. Our parents did not spend very much time with their children, so being self–sufficient as a child was very necessary.
